Unity March

Here are some pictures from the march today. The EH News crew was there until around 1:30 when we had to go to the ETV studio to tape the latest installment of our show.

Unity March Prep

I just came back from a drive down Main Street. The preparations are starting with yellow tape and barricades visible near Margaret Tucker Park. It looks like the parking ban is not being enforced yet but I expect that to change soon.

There seem to be a heavy police presence with State Troopers parking behind the old High School as you can see by the pictures below. I will be leaving to cover the march soon and will post some footage later today.

EH News 1/30/2012

Besides the BOE Special Marilyn and I taped at the end of January, we also taped the Hongo interview and a discussion of the EHPD issues and the famous "tacos" comment by Mayor Maturo. Most of the show is taken up by the Hongo interview.

Problems with Vimeo Video Site

At present we are experiencing issues with the videos loading on the blog. If you are using Internet Explorer you may not see the videos load on the page and, therefore, cannot watch them. If that is a problem go here and you can watch all the videos.

If you are using Firefox you should not see a problem.

I have contacted Vimeo tech support and they are looking into the problem.

Here is Part 1 of the meeting from last night. I will post the rest as they get uploaded.

The only items on the agenda were for "Heroes Village" on Route 80 in Foxon. There was substantial public anger about this project and, what the commentators felt, was a poor design on the wrong piece of land. The application failed miserably.

Police Commission 1/31/2012 Video

I finally got the video converted and uploaded. There is going to be a lot of shaking and moving in the video since I had to move the camera to cover the public comment part of the meeting. Normally I use a fairly stationary camera position. However, with the number of people and camera crews in attendance that was not possible.
